A new coloring is showing up in the Paint Horse registry. It is called "splashed white." The horse is all white except for hits topline, which is dark-colored. It is a rare overo where the white doesn't generally cross the top line. From the ears to the rump is solid. The pattern is believed to be a dominant trait which is controlled by more than one gene.
