Bits 'N' Pieces About Real HorsesOctober 1996 |
Less than a month before, Bright Zip had a reaction to an antibiotic he was given for a respiratory problem. He had had the drug before. He went into an anaphylatic shock and stopped breathing for a short time.
In under 2 weeks Bright Zip was feeling better and went back to work. When they were in Houston at a clinic, Zip had been performing and jumping for John when John realized that the stallion was acting differently. Tests were run and they found out Zip was totally blind.
Bright Zip and John are still performing at clinics all over the country. The bond between man and stallion has grown even closer, with Zip performing with total faith and trust in his partner.
