The Gotland Pony

The Gotland Pony has existed on the Swedish Island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea since the Stone Age. It is probably Scandinavia's oldest breed. Once all were running wild, today there is still a wild herd in the Lojsta Forest. Similar to the Fjord, the Gotland is probably a modern descendant of the Tarpan. Though it is not a galloper, it is good at the walk and at the trot.
