Egyptian Arabian |
There is a statue of a ridden horse closely resembling this very old Arabian line which dates back to 2,000 BC This line is one of the most famous and its best known promoter was Abbas Pasha, who was Viceroy of Egypt from 1848-1850. He collected horses who became the ancestors of some of the best of the breed today. These are found in the United States, the United Kingdom (Great Britain), and Egypt. Most of those in Egypt are kept at the El Zahara National Stud.
Look for an update on this breed in the future.
