The Crabbet Arabian

The Crabbet Arabian descended from Arabians bred at Crabbet Park Stud in England. The foundation horses at this Stud were selected directly from the Arabian desert by Lady Anne and Wilfred Blunt, the Stud's founders. The Blunts searched the mid-east desert to find and ship back the best Arabian horses available. Each horse's bloodlines were authenticated by the Bedouins. Their daughter, Lady Wentworth inherited the Stud. Her mastery at breeding Arabians is well documented.

The Crabbet breeding program created by them has greatly improved the quality of the Arabians worldwide. Nearly all [of] the world's Arabian horse breeding countries have been influenced by the Crabbet lines.

Known as the "chicken stock" of Arabian bloodlines, they have the exceptional value of being the best (and most reliable) blood from which to outcross. These days it's hard to find an Arabian that doesn't have a Crabbet ancestor.

The foremost character trait of a Crabbet is loyalty and devotion to his master. They have a unique temperament, and are people-lovers. They make super trail, race, endurance, cutting, reining, and stock horses.

The Crabbet breeders have not been caught up in the "fashion" craze and have held onto their principles by not switching back and forth from one bloodline to another, staying true to their type.
